    That's a shame. While outdated it was very useful for those setting up home workstations or wanting tips on how to adjust items, also for the exercises when experiencing pain or discomfort. I hope they produce something similar in the future.

  • Lone worker monitoring solution
    Hi there, we use Buddi as our lone worker system.
    It comprises of a GPS monitored clip, and a 'watch' that users wear to raise the alarm if needed, and a base for charging.
    The clip is a one-way voice system that connects to the St John monitoring centre when activated. They listen and determine the course of action based on what they hear.
    Behind the scenes there is a portal where you can manage devices/users, see where units/users are (if needed) etc.

    Our risks are workers having face-to-face meetings with potentially aggressive customers away from the office (and it's controls).

    This happens all too often. People/contractors write a plan then do the complete opposite. Usually the plan includes 'what the principle wants to hear, not what is actually going to occur'.

  • Stress Assessment Tool
    Hi Rob, have you read the Government Health and Safety Lead produced document - A Guide for Maintaining Health and Wellbeing?

    There are some great tools in the book for dealing with stress which may be of use.

    As everyone reacts to stress differently, my suggestion would be to conduct an audit or get participants to conduct a self-assessment using the tools in the document above. This will give you a baseline, then you can conduct the same self-asessment on a regular basis which should help you determine whether the stress levels are getting better or worse. Keeping in mind that the self-assessment is 'a point in time' so you would want participants to complete the self-assessment when they are feeling 'normal', not on high stress days.
