I'm seeking contacts in the H&SE industry would could assist with validating a new road worker safety product concept that measures the effectiveness of installed traffic control measures, and delivers data for H&SE audits.
I witnessed the impacts in the contracting community around the 3 road worker deaths at Matata in the Bay of Plenty in 2019, and felt that there had to be a way of further reducing the risk factors and increase employee health and safety during road construction and maintenance.
I undertook some preliminary investigation and developed a couple of ideas, with one of them appearing to have some merit.
I'm now wanting to explore this concept further, understand the roadside working environment, as well as validate my assumptions in order to hone the initial concept, and its feasibility.
Could you assist or recommend someone with knowledge in this area?
Do you know of any similar product?
Any feedback or assistance would be very much appreciated.
