    Hi SafeGuard Forum,

If you have loading & unloading e.g dispatch / warehousing / site traffic / forklifts / heavy vehicles as a risk in your organisation do you / have you implemented loading unloading exclusion zone (LUEZ) guidelines (the AU version) ? Or used WorkSafe Site Traffic Management Guidelines to implement controls for warehousing ? I am interested to hear how these controls work in 'work as done'. Are use of driver safety zones (or other safe places) enforced ? Do forklift operators take control of the site and cease operations? Or are these controls largely work as imagined ?

    Thanks for you insights,
    C

We have recently completed a comprehensive Temporary Management Plan (TMP) on this topic. One important aspect not included in your list is the "Lockbox." This procedure involves the driver of the vehicle handing their keys to a supervisor or forklift operator, who then securely locks them away until the loading process is complete. The driver waits in the vehicle or a designated safe zone until they receive their keys back and are authorized to leave. Happy to discuss this further.
