    Morning all, does anyone happen to know if there is a requirement for the tread/depth that a fixed steel ladder must be? We have an old one that has rungs that are fairly easy to slip off, and are welding new treads on to it, just not sure if there is a minimum depth the tread/plate needs to be for this kind of ladder, cheers

    Thanks Andrew. That's actually what we had but were advised by a WorkSafe inspector that we had to change them to a flat surface.

    I don't have the Standard (jeez - who can afford those!!!!!!) but as I recall its 20mm round or you can go flat but the external dimension needs to be equivalent to min. 20mm
