  • SOP working on Dangerous Goods Vehicles
Hi Rebecca. What aspect of DG vehicles are you looking for?
  • to ISO or not to ISO

Hi Wayne. What did you decide in the end?
We are also considering this, but pretty much solely due to the fact we are already 9001 and 14001 accredited. Bringing H&S into a similar management process might help us to more easily and effectively manage our H&S system - and Quality, H&S and Environmental often intersect each other in areas like risk management and continuous improvement. Audit wise it would add a few hours to the annual external audit we do, so relatively low cost for on-going maintenance.
  • Emergency Plans
Hi Jan. You'll see in the template that Chris sent that Fire and Emergency NZ (FENZ) can review your plan and make suggestions.
If you have Hazardous Chemicals on site (anything with HAZCHEM label son it) above trigger quantities you also need to send a summarised version of your plan to them including site plan, inventories, first responders, access after hours, etc. They have a guide on their website which might help you decide whether you need to go to this extra step: https://fireandemergency.nz/assets/Documents/Hazardous-substances/RD2-1-GDb-Emergency-response-plan-preparation-guide.pdf
