    Late to your reply Alana. We are now launching it after trialing it during these covid years. must say it is a very simple system, compared to all the fancy ones out there. it speaks WorkSafe's language and that is what we wanted, also it has already a built Contractor Management System, so it is a one-stop shop, Contractors come into the store scan in with a QR Code to sign in, and do an online induction online and Bob's your uncle. They can also report incidents online. Checklists and meetings can be done online, so you have a complete online Safety Management System. Online learning blocks, you name it, it's there. Our Clever First Aid kits is also integrated and connected so every first aid incident will be automatically connected with HSE and then the person who had the incident needs to complete the log, the manager must review the incident and close the loop with photos, videos, docs, etc. Statistical data can be downloaded from all files for your monthly reports. HSE is for small, medium and large enterprises.

    I have Directors Walkthru's, developed a checklist where the specific Director, Restaurant Manager, consultant, myself, and several other people will be involved, and invitations will be sent to Finance, Marketing, IT, and other roleplayers. This checklist will also be used for other Management team members whom the Director will delegate country risks. We will basically do a walkthru of the store and check certain critical areas and ask questions as we move along. Sit down prior to the walkthru to discuss the walkthru and after the walkthru, the whole focus is to get the restaurant manager to physically show the Director what they need in their store to make it a safer workplace. It gives them a voice.

    Hi Sandra, we use a company called Clever First Aid, it is an automated cloud based system that works on its own wifi and automatically resupply stock and send expired stock just to replace and they keep track for your company of it. They managing and monitoring first aid compliance for you in a nutshell basically. Making admin less and ensure compliance in realtime.(as WPS manager keep track as its realtime you can see every first aid injury happening can choose to have the camera on/off, each item have a barcode eg burns, stf, eye, cut.....) Keeping statistically data etc. Currently 170 stores of ours in NZ use it, Australia have incorporated it now, Air NZ also making use of their services. They are very clever, also have other services eg AED, Eye wash stations, Spill kits etc.

    definitely. That is part of our discussions. They need to understand the frustrations the crew and managers are dealing with on a daily basis.

    I call it a "Directors Walkthru". All Directors need to engage on a quarterly basis in the field. I take my Directors on a visit to one of our sites every quarter (different site) every time. We have 5 Directors and every Director is responsible for certain risks, so I focus on their risks for that time, show them the type of controls we have in place, plus its recorded on the Risk Register. We also not just go through their risks in depth, but also focus on other areas of concern. They get involved and show that they care..... The action plan are being reviewed monthly at the Directors Meeting.

    Hi all;

    Celeste Erasmus, Workplace Safety Consultant for the Restaurant Industry. Very challenging as I am only in this role from January 2019. Previously mainly in the Mining, Construction and Building industry, doing Audits, Training, Contractor Management etc. So yes, from a very "dirty" environment to a very "clean" environment. Love sharing ideas and looking at pockets of excellence.
