Regarding the impact of legalisation on the workplace, it has this to say in the FAQ section, at the end of the heading "What happens if you get caught with cannabis now? How would it change?".
Current law
"Employers have the right to test for cannabis, as long as they have a policy in place (or contractual provision) that provides for drug testing."
Under the proposed legalisation law
"Legalisation will not affect the right of employers to test employees for cannabis use. For example, employers can still have policies (or contractual provisions) that require negative drug tests before they will employ someone to use heavy machinery."
