Just to share, this happened a few months ago with an opened dual packet of CR2032 / 2025 lithium button batteries that exploded spontaneously whilst being stored in a drawer.
Our luck was that my wife was working from home that day, smelled the smoke and the drawer was closed to smother any potential flames. there was a lot that could have gone wrong with possible sources of ignition around these exploded batteries.
The lesson learned here was never to have any opened lithium batteries stored as we sometimes buy dual packs and these gets opened / torned exposing the spare battery. Please look at battery storage, beginning at home....
